Dear Church Leaders,

Greetings in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ!

We are happy to announce that UEM is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 group of South-North volunteers. As always, UEM member churches in Asia and Africa are encouraged to pre-select two to three candidates, preferably male and female, between the ages of 18 and 28 years.

The deadline for handing in the applications is September 16th 2022.

As this program is meant to support empowerment and training among your youth, kindly submit the applications of candidates who

 

1.  Are active members of your church, ideally in youth leadership roles or
2. are engaged in other areas of civil society;
3. Enjoy the full support of your church, expressed by the attached church endorsement.

Applications have to be submitted through UEM member churches, NOT by individual candidates. Every application submitted to UEM should be sent in PDF format by the head office of the church. Please e-mail them to Thea Hummel, hummel-t@vemission.org. Late applications will not be considered.

The application must include:

1. Completed application form (see attachment)
2. Curriculum vitae
3. One-page motivation letter written by the applicant, explaining why she or he wants to participate in this program
4. Completed church endorsement form (see attachment)
5. Recommendation letter by a person who knows the applicant and their skills (e.g. their pastor or teacher...)
6. If available: Copy of passport data page
